A Couple Projects from 2010

Since Wilmore doesn’t recycle regular copy paper, the kids and I collect it then we soak and shred it into pulp and build with it. We made some ornaments and such. I made a brick with two holes the size of baby food jars, which was able to support 55lbs before deforming. Here’s an industrial version (different shape).

I also built these soma cube pieces.

The next was another plastic bag project. I decided to go with a slim bag this time; only 8 weaved squares.I used blue IGA bags in one direction and white Wal-mart bags in the other. Then I used a twill pattern, 2 over-2 under with a step. I think it turned out well. And same as before, I crochet the weaved squares together and made braided handles.
